Stunning Luberon
Luberon is the real Provence, full of character, a sweet dolce vita of a climate and pure clean air which just breathes the incredible contrasts between a rich, and variable natural environment. Starting 30 minutes from Aix with Lourmarin, you will discover this charming village before reaching the village of Bonnieux. It’s the central Luberon with an overview on the northern Valley. Roussillon will be an original place to see with its famous Ochre Quarries. Leaving your staying place, you will stop in Aix en Provence, Deluxe Drivers will take you for a historical trip through the centre of the old city where you will see the main places that relate to the Master, including his workshop, his family home, the church where he got married and his birth place. The Canyon of Verdon and Moustiers
The deep cliff of the Gorges du Verdon is unique in Europe, we invite you to discover this area of spectacular natural beauty. You will stop in Manosque where your driver will introduce you to the famous this charming little city where Giono passed his life. You will then drive through “the Plateau de Valensole”, lavender fields and Amanda trees offer unbelievable scenery. After passing through Valensole village and Riez, two authentic places with a lot of history, you will arrive in the medieval town of Moustiers Sainte Marie. There you will see the village and his culture around faïence. Provence classics
Get right in the heart of Provencal culture by discovering one of the best known Provencal villages: Gordes. We will then join Fontaine de Vaucluse where the mysterious Sorgue River flows out of the depths, before joining Avignon through the antiquaire’s village, l’Isle sur la Sorgue. Olive oil, wine and soap
Leaving your staying place, you will first stop in Aix en Provence... Deluxe Drivers will take you for a historical trip through the centre of the old city where you will see the main places. You will then drive to the main Olive Oil Producer village in France, Mouries. After passing through a nice path, you will arrive in a charming small city named Salon de Provence, famous for Nostradamus and also its soap producer “Marius Fabre”. The Southern Luberon
This is the living Luberon, where everything goes back to "man’s” relationship with the basic element, earth. The dry stone walls, the imposing "bastides", perched villages on the sides of hills between a church or a château. Get into this unique atmosphere with your driver starting in Ansouis, and his beautiful medieval castle from the 12Th century. Continue the road until Cucuron, with a point of view over the village’s roofs. The Camargue and Arles
You will start your day entering the access « door » of this region: Arles and its Roman arenas, the St Trophime’s church and the Antique Theatre. Antique and flea markets in Provence
French Antique shops and flea markets are world famous, especially in the Provence area. You will be able to find objects and paintings, furniture but also books or even maps… Two places you can not miss if you like antiques: l’Isle sur la Sorgue and the “Antiques village” just outside Aix-en-Provence, where you can find over 10 different shops… Deluxe Drivers advice: arrive early before all the “professional” buyers and sellers…Markets are generally during the mornings only. Van Gogh in Provence
Vincent Van Gogh arrived in Provence on a snowy winter morning and spent over 2 years there, totally beset with mad creativity. He drew his inspiration from the sun, the colours and the spirit of Provence. He had this dream of setting up l'Atelier du sud (the studio of the south) with his friend Paul Gauguin but unfortunately delirium took the better part of him. He cut off his ear and sent it to his friend Rachel, an inmate at the local brothel, and was then taken into a lunatic’s asylum.
